the Liverpool legend revealed his family is "complete" with the birth of their first son.
Taking to Instagram, the 36 year old confirmed the news with his 5.9million followers, sharing an illustration which read: "It’s a boy!"
"Lio George Gerrard was born this morning at 4.55am,
" he captioned the upload, "Both are doing great. Our family is complete."
And his fans quickly flooded the comments with congratulatory messages and well wishes.
