ABUSE BY APPROVED CBT CENTRES AND CYBER CAFÉ OPERATORS
It has been observed by the Board, that in the past, there were lots of irregularities during registration of candidates. Some of which are as follows:
1. IRREGULARITIES OBSERVED
Off-line registration means that candidates are given template form to fill and enter their details and the Registration centres would later enter their data for them on-line at a later time when the candidates were not present.
Registration Centres did off-line registration for candidates and in the process of completing them on-line, mismatched their images and made mistakes in the candidates’ data.
Registration Centres deliberately went to the hinterland to register candidates off-line in order to create Special Centres where they could further perpetrate Irregularities during examinations.
Punish uncompromising candidates by changing their centres and/or institutions without their knowledge/consent.
Swapped and replaced particulars of uncompromising candidates with others and used money paid for other candidates.
MEASURES TAKEN BY THE BOARD
Payment for access code by Registration Centres has been cancelled. All systems in the Registration Centre will be enabled for the registration.
None of these systems therefore can be used for registration outside the Registration Centre.
Candidates will now have access to all the systems at the Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre for the registration exercise.

Candidates will be properly educated to understand that their registration numbers are private and security numbers which they must not divulge.
Any candidate who discloses his/her registration number, does so at his/her own risk.

ACCOUNTABILITY IN REGISTRATION CENTRES
Registration Centres are hereby urged to appoint credible staff to man their Centre to ensure credibility and accountability.
It has also been observed that some Public Registration Centres refused registration because of “low return”.
These returns are not low as claimed but officers in charge do not remit appropriately.

How Ibori secured freedom – Aide
As illustrated on thenationonlineng.com, That Despite the completion of his jail term, ex-Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, on Wednesday fought till the last minute to regain freedom.
The British Home Office was said to have opposed Ibori’s release because confiscation hearing had not been concluded.
But the Crown Prosecution lawyer, Sian Davies, did not object to Ibori’s release and return to Nigeria.
The drama which beclouded Ibori’s release was contained in a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Mr. Tony Eluemunor.
The statement said: “At 12: 20 p.m. Wednesday 21 December 2016, Her Honour, Mrs. Justice Juliet May, Queen’s Counsel, dropped her verdict; she ordered the immediate release of Chief James Onanefe Ibori.
“With that Ibori’s lawyers won a major victory against the British Home Office, at the Royal Court of Justice, Queens Court 1, London, by successfully challenging the decision not to release Ibori who was due for freedom on Tuesday, December 20, after serving his sentence.
“In a curious move, the British Home Office, instead of releasing Ibori on December 20, informed him that he would be detained.
“So, in court, Ibori’s lawyers exposed the injustice in the indefinite detention the Home Office had planned for Ibori. They told the judge that there were no grounds in law under which Ibori could be detained and that his detention for one day by the Home office was unlawful.
“Therefore, there was high drama in the British High Court as senior lawyers for the UK’s Home Office failed in their last minute bid to prevent Ibori’s release.
“The apparent decision to block Ibori’s release and detain him appeared to have come from the highest echelons of the UK Government – the Home Secretary who was accused in today’s hearing of acting unlawfully and misusing her powers.
“The Crown Prosecution lawyer, Sian Davies, did not object to Ibori’s release and return to Nigeria, yet at the last minute the Home Office stepped in. There is clear discord between the two arms of the British Government.
“Ibori’s team was led by Ian McDonald QC, the leading QC on immigration.
“The visibly irritated judge could not understand the Home Secretary’s position and at times was critical of the move to detain Ibori any further. Mrs. Justice May rejected the Home Secretary’s requests for conditions to be imposed and ordered Ibori’s immediate release.
“Ivan Krolic, who also attended, explained that Ibori’s confiscation proceedings collapsed in 2013, after the prosecution was unable to establish any theft from Delta State and any benefit for Ibori, from anywhere. A three-week hearing which heard live evidence was abandoned by the prosecutors – Wass QC and Shutzer-Weissman. Both prosecutors have since been dismissed from the case for gross misconduct.
“Krollic further explained that British police officers in the case led by DC McDonald have again been referred to the Independent Public Complaints Commission and now face a thorough investigation into their corrupt activities in this case. The CPS has confirmed officers in the case were corrupt. It has since disclosed substantial material evidencing the graft.
“Ibori and others have long maintained that this prosecution was politically motivated. It was funded by the UK’s Department for International Development, DFID, whose senior employee was also the jury foreperson in one of the earlier trials.
“The Ibori case has been plagued with British police corruption, exceptional prosecutorial misconduct and fundamental non-disclosure. A multitude of appeals have now been launched or are in the process of being launched.”

Read and be the judge: MAD, LAZY or WISE?
*Pls tell me after reading this story if this woman is truly a mad woman, a lazy woman or wise woman*
My car broke down in a street at Ile-Ife, where I was standing watching the mechanic guy that was trying to fix the car, a slim woman was walking down across the road dressed in a dirty blue top and black short with a white cap popularly cele cap.
This woman walked facing my direction and I thought she's a mad woman judging her with her appearance so I moved some steps away from where I was standing to avoid her.
To my surprise, she walked straight to a golden chance lotto shop asked for a pen and book, this amazed me as I was watching from distance to see what she's up to. She pen down some numbers and I notice the owner of the shop was happy so this woman immediately put her hand forward and the shop owner gave her #200.
Remember in a lotto shop you pay money to play and you can only collect money when you win. I was very sure you can't play a game and win #200 so I walked to the shop and asked why was she been paid, this is the response I get..........
Bros the woman is not normal and mad people do give correct lucky numbers for lotto once in awhile. So at this point I discover she was paid for giving numbers.
Now I asked myself if this woman should walked into 5 shops within 30 minutes and get #200 at each point then she will be making #1000 if she should do this for 5 hours in a day she will be getting #5000 per day and for a week #25000 while a month #60,000. Look at that she's making money where others are waisting money.
Now is she mad, lazy or wise woman?
